Ensuring your body recovers between workouts will let you stick to your routine as well as to train harder the next time. Muscles need anywhere from 24-48 hours to repair and rebuild. Without that recovery time you run the risk of muscle tissue breaking down instead of building up. With health care stimulating conversations these days, I wonder, where does that leave natural therapists? Is this a time to focus more of our energy on educating the public? I have already spent 20+ years sharing Polarity Therapy and my healing experiences. Yet, people are still willing to grab hold of a sick system... a system that cares for you when you have reached a dis-ease state. A system that will charge so much capital that it is bound to make you sick all over again.
Recently a client called to cancel our session... she was having abdomen pain. She called back within an hour and asked me to take her to the emergency rog om. I agreed and shortly arrived at her home. She met me at the door. I stopped her and asked if she was sure about going to the ER or if I could help her. In pain and fear she said,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], “I just don’t know what you could do?” And so we proceeded to the hospital.
Several hours passed and she was diagnosed with a kidney stone. A CAT scan verified what the doctor was 99% sure was the problem. She was given plenty of drugs for pain, three prescriptions to take home, a kit to sift her urine, and a spit bucket. After getting her home safely and tucking her into bed,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I left to grab some things for the night. I touched base with her by phone and she told me not to return, that she just wanted to sleep... the pain was gone. I honored her request.
With morphine in her system, the pain was pushed aside. Had I been the one to experience the pain I’m sure that I would have responded differently. Personally,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], I would have stayed home, slept, soaked in a tub,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], worked on my body,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], and let nature take its course. However, fear is a strong driving force.
I wasn’t offended when my client said, “I don’t know what you could do,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],” because she really didn’t. She has experienced pain leave her arm, or leg or shoulder in a session,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], but her guts drew more concern.
Years ago I watched an instructor take a classmate from horrible pain,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], with things coming out both ends,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], to sleeping like a baby within a half an hour. The client in this case called forth friends in the class to resource him as the instructor and his trusted friends applied Polarity Therapy to balance his system.
I spent seven hours with my client. With morphine leading the charge, she found limited comfort in two hours. The hospital care was respectful and mostly conscious, but I was the one providincomforting care. I was the one with her, fully present. I was her advocate, asking for what she needed when her voice wasn’t heard.
She told me that she liked the drugs. I know they are there for a reason. They did allow her to rest and take some easy breaths. Rest is crucial in healing. That night, before dreams carried me away, I couldn’t help thinking of all the things I could have done to bring her body into balance. From simply cradling her sides to manipulating her feet. The possibilities seemed endless.
Sitting with her the next day, we went over what she was told by the doctor and the nurses; we also explored the drugs that she was prescribed. It sure is a different world with many of the side effects seeming to outweigh the benefits. One drug causing problems and the other taking those problems away.
I know that I care. But, I don’t care for the way things are running in our health care world. I continue to educate people, presently, using my book, “Finding My Way From Paralysis To A Rich, Full Life,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych],” as another tool to touch the populace. This experience showed me that it’s not only time that people know what natural therapy can do for them... it is long overdue.

The Chinese Navy will conduct training in the West Sea using live ammunition from Wednesday to Saturday,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], China's Ministry of Defense said Sunday. Beijing said the naval exercise will be held off the coastal city of Qingdao ahead of joint anti-submarine drills planned by South Korea and the U.S. in the West Sea in September.

Hong Kong and Chinese media reported that China has built two strategic missile bases in Guangdong Province and plans to deploy the state-of-the-art Dongfeng-21C and Dongfeng-21D missiles there soon. A theory that only the world's top five to six largest carmakers will survive is gaining credence after India's Tata Motors bought of Jaguar Cars and Land Rover last year,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], while Italy's Fiat has announced plans to acquire Chrysler and GM's Opel unit at the same time. One Chinese carmaker is in the process of consolidating its own operations while eyeing foreign rivals such as Ford's Volvo unit,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], which is for sale.
The reason is that global car sales are plummeting due to excess output capacity. According to the Samsung Economic Research Institute,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], 36 percent of the cars produced this year,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], or 34 million out of 94 million vehicles, are excess capacity.
◆ Fiat,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the New Giant?
Fiat announced on Sunday that it plans to form an alliance with Opel,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], GM's European unit, after already acquiring a stake in Chrysler. If a Fiat-Chrysler-Opel alliance is formed,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], it could become one of the world's top five carmakers,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], with total production capacity exceeding 5 million vehicles.
But it will also make major restructuring inevitable, and there it faces opposition from German union workers and politicians. Fiat was able to acquire a 20 percent stake in Chrysler on condition that the Italian automaker supplies small cars, but Fiat did not spend any money to gain the stake,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], laying itself open to charges for staging what a publicity stunt. Also, previous takeovers and mergers of major players,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], such as BMW and Rover and Daimler Benz and Chrysler, produced disastrous results. As a result, many people are questioning the chances of success for Fiat’s latest endeavors.
◆ European,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], Japanese Carmakers
Japanese and European carmakers are moving to realign themselves. Suzuki Motor CEO Osamu Suzuki said recently a group of around 10 Japanese carmakers was going to be reorganized centering on Toyota, Honda and Nissan.
Germany's Volkswagen plans to acquire its parent Porsche,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], which has recently been suffering from cash flow problems brought on by the acquisition of Volkswagen shares and flagging sales. Germany's BMW AG and France's PSA Peugeot Citroen are also considering sharing technology to save costs, while BMW and Mercedes Benz are entering a capital alliance.
◆ Korean Carmakers
Experts say it is impossible for all of Korea's five carmakers to stay alive. Apart from Hyundai-Kia, the other carmakers face uncertainties over the long term in terms of their capacity to develop new models and maintain sales volume. As a result, experts are starting to forecast the eventual reorganization of the Korean car industry into Hyundai-Kia and one other firm.

AIDS is basically a slow and deliberate death sentence and those infected by it can experience a wretched state of ostracism and discrimination from the society. In the same manner, there are reckless adults who indulge in unhealthy sexual affiliations enjoying the benefits yet choosing to be oblivious to its risks. The greatest threat and consequence of unhealthy sexual practices and all the more becoming prevalent is STD or sexually transmitted disease.
When Chlamydia is left untreated,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], it can lead to infertility and birth defects. More alarming,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], though, is the fact that most of those infected with a sexually transmitted disease may be unaware that they are infected. Genital warts or HPV on the other hand is associated with the development of cervical cancer in women. Another sexually transmitted disease,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], herpes, wherein there is a manifestation of blisters and sores is an incurable skin condition affecting the genitals. There are cases wherein the symptoms of a sexually transmitted disease may not be apparent,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], yet the person remains infected and can transmit the disease to their partner.
By sexually transmitted disease,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], it means any infection or disease passed on from one person to another through sexual intercourse or oral sex. One in five Americans has a sexually transmitted disease and the risk for contracting such is astoundingly high. Studies conducted by the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDCP) indicated that there are 2.8 million of new cases of Chlamydia annually in the United States. Women have the greater tendency of acquiring the sexually transmitted disease Chlamydia and the rate of new cases for women is 3% higher than that of men.
With education,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], awareness and discipline,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], an individual can avoid acquiring a sexually transmitted disease thereby not putting themselves and their partner’s health at risk.
The foremost means is to get involved in a healthy monogamous relationship wherein sexual and intimate relations are enjoyed to the fullest. The next recourse to avoid a sexually transmitted disease is through abstinence but this may require much discipline and effort. If such is not possible,[link widoczny dla zalogowanych], the best measure would be to use condoms. Both male and female condoms can be effective protection against a sexually transmitted disease most especially when in they are used in combination with a spermicide. Contraceptive measures are in no way capable of warding off a sexually transmitted disease as they are merely for the purpose of preventing pregnancy.
